i was thinking about the first row this morning, Alien in Own Land, in regard to the horrible shootings in WI. we can add to this all the crazy things said Obama and his un-Americanness. there is some weird generalization that only Black POC and White people can be born the United States, when people from hundreds (thousands) of backgrounds have been here since the 1800’s. I think of areas of Los Angeles with enormous Asian populations, Japanese families that have been here for generations, or the central valley that also has a large Indian population that has been here for years, but there is still this sense that if you are not white or black, you just got here yesterday. and then a gunman gets it in his head that it is okay to kill these types of “foreigners”…
