Notes- Astonishing X-Men #54
Marjorie Liu just loves driving stakes into the hearts of the JP/Bobby ‘shippers, geez.
Current theory going around is that this is all a fake-out, but honestly? Even if it isn’t, this scene works for me. For Jean-Paul, it’s always been his loved ones, then himself, and everyone else a distant third. My only objection if this isn’t all a show for Hatchi is that JP should have been able to grab Bobby long before he hit the vat.
1. I like JP bitchflicking Bobby. I love them both as characters, but come on, that was fun.
2. Bolding mine. So yeah. Either a fakeout or she somehow totally forgot what Northstar’s powers are.
